Pisces Saint is said to be the most beautiful Saint between heaven and earth out of all 88 of Athena's Saint (stated in Manga, 天?地???間?輝??誇?美??士).
Aphrodite guards the last house of the 12th gold saint temple just before the pope's room. And the road leading to the pope's room is filled with Royal Demon Rose which if anyone smells it, they will slowly lose their five senses and fall into a sweet aroma of death.
Pisces Aphrodite attacks with roses as weapon ("Royal Demon Rose (red)", "Piranha Rose (black)", "Bloody Rose (white)"). He also has teleportation abilities, first used in his battle with Shun in the Sanctuary Chapter and used it again in the Saint Seiya Crimson Youth movie when he fight with Shun once again. Just like Deathmask (and Shura in the manga), he knew the true identity of the Pope (Saga) but still chose to follow him. He is as evil (but not as cruel as he prefers to use a painless attack "Royal Demon Rose" against his enemies) as Deathmask, and also attacked the Andromeda Island along and killed Shun's master, Cepheus Daidalos (though in the Anime version, it's actually Scorpio Milo who was sent to attack Andromeda island). Knowing about these facts, the kind nature Andromeda Shun kept give Pisces Aphrodite a chance to repent but after Shun sees that Aphrodite have no intention to repent and decided to uses his final deadly attack "Bloody Rose", the normally docile Andromeda Shun was forced to counter with his final attack "Nebula Storm" and ended up killing him. Later he and Cancer Death Mask were spectrally revived by Hades to have Athena's head taken to Hades, but they were once again stopped by Aries Mu and sent back to Hell by Rhadamanthys.
This Gold Saint is named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty and love.
Through out the Sanctuary Chapter and even the movie. Both Pisces Aphrodite and Cancer Deathmask were portrayed as hopeless evil Gold Saints. It wasn't until the Hades Chapter that they were given redemption when they were asked by Shion to pretend to follow Hades' order. (In the anime, after Shion asked all the dead Gold and Silver Saints to pretend to follow Hades' order, a shot showed Aphrodite and Deathmask smiling. Then, Shion thanked all of them for pretending to betray Athena)
